My Sweet Kaleb

Lately we have been going and going and skipping Kaleb's nap on most days. Today while I was packing for our camping trip I noticed that it got really quiet. I went upstairs and found him in his bed OUT (of course with his blankie in hand)! I let him sleep for about an hour and then knew that I needed to wake him up if I wanted him to go to bed at a decent time tonight (he fell asleep after 5:00 p.m). I got him up and cuddled with him for a few minutes. When I looked down at him he was OUT again. I sat with him for a good twenty minutes not wanting to wake him again. It was almost as if this was his way of saying "slow down Mom." Knowing that I needed to finish packing for our camping trip, I layed him down on the chair and he slept for over an hour...so sweet. I'm glad I got to "slow down" for a short while and sit with him, it was just a reminder that I should do it more often.
